It happened. Another week of challenges has passed. Another beautiful week of improving myself by one percent every day. Let’s do the math – how much does that add up to? YES! 7%! But if I were improving in just one area, I would have to put on a white lab coat, turn into a scientist, and calculate the incredibly complex formula for compound interest:
In my case, this applies to my emerging online store and adding new products, starting with five per day.
A = P × (1 + r)^t
Where: • A – final value (number of products at the end of the period),
• P – initial value (number of products at the start, i.e., 5),
• r – growth rate (1% = 0.01),
• t – number of days (here, 7).
Now, calculations. Here I adjust my imaginary glasses on my non-imaginary nose...
Let’s plug it into the formula: A = 5 × (1.01)^7
A = 5 × 1.0721
A ≈ 5.36
Total percentage increase: ((1.01)^7 − 1) × 100
(1.0721 − 1) × 100 = 7.21%
Phew. The Windows calculator is overheating. Results: After 7 days, I will be adding approximately 5.36 products per day, and my efficiency will have increased by 7.21% compared to the initial value. The number of products may not seem impressive, right? But 7.21% does. That’s almost 10%, and 10 is nearly 50, and from 50, it's a straight path to 100!
On the first day, I still add 5 products, but on the seventh day, this number grows to 5.36. A small difference, right? But still huge. A full new product (6 products per day) will start appearing after approximately 18 days. So on day 19, I will already be adding at least 6 products per day – a concrete new product in my store.
Let this process continue. After a year of such daily improvements, you will be able to add almost 189 products per day! That’s 37 times more than at the beginning!
This is the magic and power of compound interest. Systematic work and consistency make the difference. Success is not achieved through sudden leaps but through daily, incremental improvements. Of course, I will not be adding that many products per day, as I will eventually stop developing in this area, but this example clearly illustrates where the real power lies.
More on this topic can be found here: 1% Rule
That’s all about the 1% rule of daily improvement. That’s enough of an introductory digression.
Summary. Is it worth it?
Wait a moment. I stretch my fingers over the keyboard and focus on the most important aspect of today.
Today is Sunday, 23.02.2025. In my DailyInspire life game calendar, this is the review day. According to my own rules, I designated Sunday as the day for this purpose. (Full and shortened game rules: here)
Here is the list of my blog posts from the past week:
Everything went according to plan. Four blogs on health, two motivational, one on finance – a perfect balance within my HMF method (Health – Motivation – Fundament).
When setting my daily tasks, I ensured to diversify them according to my GMF method. Health was the primary focus, as it is the key foundation. It is the pillar on which we build our habit-fortress, impenetrable to the corruption and distractions of the modern world.
Motivation and foundation? Balance. I cannot allow any of these pillars to feel neglected – maintaining their equilibrium is crucial.
I log my daily tasks and their completion (or sometimes lack thereof) under each blog post. This serves as my quick-check system to see what went well, what I managed, and what needs improvement. It is my little legal cheat sheet, my personal almanac of knowledge about my game.
How does it work? I go to the site, click on the date in the calendar at the bottom, and immediately see the blog with its assigned tasks. Simple? Simple. Strength lies in simplicity!
Each of my tasks and goals is structured in a way that makes them measurable and easy to verify. (More on this in my blog here). Thanks to this, I can clearly say: Completed! (As often as possible, preferably always).
Measurability is the foundation of accountability. Yes, yes – no, no.
Were there any setbacks this week?
Of course, and more than once. I am neither a robot nor perfect. No one is. I take it on the chin, pull out my red card, listing the unfinished tasks from the entire week, and let’s get to work. These are today's tasks! We fix, we move forward with even greater energy, hoping that our Red Card remains untouched. That its structure will not know the touch of a pen. My goal? Improve. Become a better person.
Yes, it is worth being a better person. 😊 But is it worth doing a weekly review?
In one of my blog posts, I made the following comparison: You are the CEO of your own company. Your body! (Read it here).
Following this thought – here’s an example: Imagine running a company. You have employees (your habits), a budget (your time and energy), and products and services (your decisions and actions). Like any company, you need reviews to know what works and what needs improvement.
No reviews? Well, your company is operating blindly. And that means: • You might be earning, but you don’t know how much. • You might be losing, but you have no idea where. • You might be moving forward, but you could just as well be going in circles.
And you do want to grow this business called Your Life, right? Companies without a plan, analysis, and reviews collapse and are run without control. They have no long-term chance of survival.
And you? Do you want to run your company blindly?
A year from now, you could wake up in the exact same place. The same chaos, the same problems, the same excuses. Because if you don’t know where you were yesterday, how can you decide where you will be tomorrow?
You cannot build strong foundations without a plan. You cannot improve health without tracking progress. You cannot build motivation without assessing what works and what doesn’t.
And that’s why I use HMF – Health, Motivation, Fundament. The three pillars that keep life on track.
Every day is an opportunity for a 1% improvement. Every week is a check-up on where that percent was added and where it was missing. Every month and year is an analysis of whether you are moving in the right direction. Track it. It’s essential. Without it, progress is impossible, and as we all know, life without progress is regression – and for that, I bow in deep appreciation.
A week is the foundation of your transformation. It is no coincidence that many effective strategies rely on weekly summaries. Seven days are enough to see whether your strategy is working.
• Health: Did you take care of your body? How many times did you exercise? Did you eat better? Did you get enough sleep? • Motivation: How was your discipline? Did you stick to your goals? What emotions dominated? • Fundamentals: How were your relationships? How did you manage your time? Were your actions aligned with your values?
Additional questions: • What did I accomplish? • Where were the losses? • What lessons did I learn? • What will I improve next week?
Summary of the Summary
Yes. It is worth doing an analysis and reviewing the past week, month, or year. Correction: It is not just worth it; it is necessary. It is a must! No excuses. Mark it in your calendar today – the time for weekly, monthly, and yearly reviews. Let’s start!
My Weekly Summary in Brief
My company, “Kacper GmbH,” is growing because this week proved that consistency works.
Health? Exercises completed, cycling checked, no sugar, minimal carbohydrates, superfoods added, supplementation aligned with lifestyle. I didn’t think about whether I felt like it – I just did it. It’s no longer a decision; it’s becoming a habit!
Motivation? I worked on my mindset. A motivational book, meditation, the mantra “Today is the best day of the year,” appreciating small successes. My mind is programming itself for victory.
Fundamentals? Work at 100%, developing my store and this blog, budget under control. Full love for family and God. Daily church visits, daily acts of kindness for strangers. I don’t wait for the perfect moment; I improve reality by 1% each day.
Strength and Endurance? Minimum 5,000 steps per day, 117 sit-ups, 22 push-ups – the numbers speak for themselves. Your body doesn’t understand excuses – it responds to action. Hard to believe that in December, I could barely do one, JUST ONE push-up and was... exhausted. Truly!
You might say: “Great, but I’m still not where I want to be.”
And that’s fine. Because if you were, what would you do? Lie down and wait for old age?
You act, improve, test, learn, refine. And that is success.
Don’t ask when you’ll see results. They are already here. Every day that you don’t return to old patterns, when you evaluate and improve your health, motivation, and fundamentals by 1%, is a day when you become a better version of yourself.
And in a year?
You can look back and think: “Why didn’t anything change?” Or you can look at yourself and say: “That was the best year of my life.”
The choice is yours.
¡Gracias! ¡Hasta mañana! Sonrisas y amor.
Thank you! See you tomorrow! Smiles and love!
