Let’s walk this journey together!

„The goal is to keep the goal the goal.“

From Point A to Point B. No shortcuts. No "but".

Oops! I did it again!

Welcome to the laboratory of daily decisions.
Here, where the “professor of psychology” meets the hungry wolf – both literally and metaphorically.
Here, where the scientist is also the lab rabbit.

Let’s start with a truism that is brutally true:

“The goal is to keep the goal the goal.” – said Dan John.

And he was right.
A goal is not a suggestion. A goal is a commitment. Point A → Point B.
Not A → A.1 → Instagram → fridge → Netflix → B.

Only straight. There is strength in simplicity.
Simple and measurable goals require a simple and planned route.

It’s like a trip from city A to city B.
Usually, in Google Maps you don’t type in: give me the longest road – preferably with traffic and detours, and also the most expensive – with a ferry, even if there’s no river or bay on the route.

Well, NO! That’s not how it works.
So why do we so often not apply this rule in everyday life?
It just makes no sense.

I want and I go with a map.
With a map that has no emergency exits or snack stations, and certainly no ferries and detours.

I go STRAIGHT and...

... I’m on that road.

This morning, the scale showed 95 kg.
In the DailyInspire game – the one I created myself to save myself and maybe a few other lunatics along the way – I have exactly 1 kilogram left to reach the first goal:
"I weigh 94 kg or less on 01.04.2025."
A simple and measurable goal.

And you know what?
I already know that on 01.04.2025 I weigh 94 kg.
It won’t be April Fools'.
It won’t be “if it works out” or “if nothing gets in the way”.
It already happened.
The rest is just time.
Just the road. And I’m already on that road.
Rolling forward. 😊

Yesterday I did a fast. And… it was beautiful.

No – I’m not saying you have to torture yourself.
But you have to be able to say:
“Not now, because I have a greater hunger – the hunger to reach my goal.”

David Goggins once said:

“Stop negotiating with your mind. It knows your weaknesses.”

Right on.
Yesterday I didn’t negotiate.
Yesterday I closed the fridge, while simultaneously opening the door to discipline.
And you know what?
I slept more peacefully than after a dinner with dessert.
You could say I slept like a rock and no – I didn’t wake up hungry like a wolf.
Quite the opposite.
I feel like my stomach likes this state of rest.
It worked. Point B reached. Let’s keep it up.

It’s not just a fast. It’s a journey.

Psychology speaks clearly – our brain loves shortcuts.
But the biggest rewards are at the end of a straight, boring, demanding road.
Where no one is watching.
Where there are no likes and other virtual hearts.
Where the only reward is a whisper in your head that says:

“You did what you had to do. Congratulations!”

Today? I’m moving forward.
Because I know that after this first goal comes the next.
And the next.
I find a game in this.
I find fun in my HMF method and the 1% daily rule.
It’s amazing!
I know that one day I’ll look in the mirror and see not only a different silhouette,
but also a different version of myself.
That’s certain, and I know this game is worth the sacrifices.

I want to see the reflection of a person who never strayed from the straight path and achieved their goals.
I love this game!

Digression:

By the way, isn’t it strange how so many people spend hours, weeks, years developing unreal characters in a virtual world,
while having at their side 24/7 the best avatar – the best “patient” for potential growth,
who is practically unlimited...

It surprises me, because it’s not easy there either.
There are emotions, there is persistence and discipline.
Practically everything you need to go from point A to B.

Oh well. Their business. Less competition for me 😊.
I’ll write a blog about this tomorrow – already taking notes.

End of digression.

From point A to point B.

Ask yourself just one key question:
“When do I start?”

BONUS: Kobe Bryant and the straight road to the goal

When Kobe Bryant was 13 years old, he went to his first summer basketball camp.
And you know what?
He didn’t score a single point throughout the entire summer league season.
Not a single one. Zero.
Embarrassing? Absolutely!

But that’s exactly when he said to himself:
“Since I’m so far behind, I will train 3 times more than everyone else.”

From that moment on, his day looked like this:

  • Alarm at 4:00 AM.
  • Training before breakfast.
  • Then a second training session.
  • After school – the third session.
  • In the evening – video analysis and mental preparation.

He was going hard.
And one might think…
“Oh! Talented, it all comes easy for him – scoring points without effort.”
But in the results, you don’t see the work that came before.
And believe me – it was brutal.
In his case, it was no different.

He once said:

“While they sleep, I work. While they eat, I train. While they party, I grind.”

There were no excuses.
No “maybe someday”.
Short. Straight. The best.

There was Point A: I’m weak.
And Point B: I want to be the best.
Everything in between – was work.

The result?
NBA Champion.
Icon.
Legend.

Until tomorrow.

Chin up, smile on, and get to work, young lions!
