Grüezi mitenand.
Surprising, how much one can hear when everything finally falls silent.
The clock is not ticking. The phone isn’t ringing. No one wants anything.
That’s how I lay in bed today for almost an hour.
Spread out like pizza dough that’s about to be put into the oven.
That’s exactly how I was rising.
I was rising like that dough, which is about to become a delicious dish, but for now is just gluey (although pleasant to the touch 😊) and tastes like raw flour and yeast, yet soon will be something exceptional – and whether plain or with toppings, it will be tasty.
However, it must go through the baking process...
An Italian Neapolitan pizza undergoes this process at around 400°C, but only briefly.
Normally, around 300°C should be enough and voilà – we have our Italian flatbread.
But what’s the point, one or another might ask...
Ahhh, you see – here lies the core.
I came back in the evening from the pots, that is, work in the kitchen (very likely why this gastronomic comparison), and today I have a day off.
What does that mean for most people on this planet?
QUITTING TIME!
A break and doing nothing.
"Because I earned it..."
Well, I don’t think so.
Winners step out of their comfort zone. Winners build power within themselves.
Power that is based on constant self-improvement.
The power of my HMF method (Health, Motivation, Fundamentals) and the rule of 1% better every day. Let others rest. I forbid no one – in fact, I encourage them – it will be easier for me to win in my game of life. It will be easier for me to beat my market competitors.
Let them go on vacation! Sayonara!
Let them sleep through the best moments for investment, and in the future let them sell me their unprofitable business, which I, thanks to my work and persistence, as well as daily discipline, will transform into a profitable company.
This is not just my speculation. This is indisputable and 100% effective! Work means success. Laziness means failure. Full stop.
Coming back to my pizza dough... because of course, I drifted into a digression. That’s just the nature of this blog. The dough needs to go through the baking stage. No matter how long – it always has to happen. Is it pleasant for the dough? What do you think?
The dough undergoes this process and becomes something entirely different.
Transformed. After a stage of intense change. A change that is not comfortable, and there is no use counting on it or expecting it.
Quite the opposite. I recall a quote:
"If the changes you’re making feel comfortable – don’t fool yourself that you’ll succeed." – said Michael Jordan’s coach.
And that’s exactly how it is.
If you don’t leave your comfort zone and don’t force yourself to act – nothing will come of it. Comfort is for weaklings, with whom I intend to win every day – in both small and big matters. I want to have an advantage in every field.
Sorry, correction: I have an advantage in every field.
I thought about this today in bed, and this is how I used my rest time for intensive thinking and building a strategy for today, because every day is a brick in the construction of life.
I don’t intend to have a house made of crumbling bricks. I intend to have a villa with a triple-reinforced foundation and full ceramic class 1 brick, fired from natural clay, with high density, excellent frost, moisture and mechanical damage resistance.
That’s what my house will be.
Winners don’t play around with doing nothing and don’t spend time worthlessly.
Time is money. Time is currency. You can’t whittle time, and you can’t make up for it.
It slips away irreversibly – that’s why I take it greedily and methodically.
Thank you. I’m going on the bike, riding to bow before the Most High, and then I build.
And you?
In what area will you be 1 percent better today?
Detox – more than a diet
I must admit. Yesterday I made such a delicious goulash that I couldn’t stop myself.
It was like a drug. I couldn’t control it. I ate 3 bowls. Like a malnourished dolphin swallowing the fish thrown straight into its mouth – without thinking, I devoured...
Today I say "no."
No to sugar.
No to overeating.
Let my stomach rest.
This ties in perfectly with the earlier desire to leave the comfort zone and build willpower.
Not because I have to.
But because I can.
Because Detox doesn’t start with vegetables.
Detox, or if you prefer a one-day fast, starts with a decision.
With the resolve that today I won’t feed myself what’s easy, but what’s necessary.
It’s a choice.
Not against myself.
But for myself.
It has long been known that short-term fasts, e.g., 12–24 hours without eating, have a long history both in medical and religious tradition – but modern medicine began systematically researching their effects only in the 1960s and 70s, and a real scientific boom started after the year 2000. One-day fasts, used sensibly and occasionally, are recognized by modern medicine as a safe and beneficial method of supporting metabolic health and body regeneration. Even if they weren’t – I simply feel that I want to. My body tells me:
“Give me a day to breathe.”
Oh sure, my little body. The boss approves the time off. I’m off from my regular job – so you take a break too. I’ll catch up on things – maybe you’ve got something to catch up on as well... I know you do. No rush. (Am I actually talking to my body? OK. This is getting interesting...) Back to the point.
Looks like it’s worth it.
And if it’s worth it and costs nothing – and I’ll build willpower too?
I’m in!
Psychologically, detox is not just body cleansing.
It’s a willpower workout.
And that’s where the real work begins.
Here are my blogs where I describe willpower – how to train it as a muscle:

People who can delay gratification live longer, happier, and... more peacefully.
Their life is not built on constant impulses but on decisions.
And Detox?
It’s a daily lesson in precisely this skill.
I’m not a nutritionist. I’m not offering miracles. But I share what works for me – simple, calm, natural.
• Morning (until 12:00):
• Midday (12:00):
• Afternoon (15:00):
• Evening (17:00):
No meat. No bread. Peacefully.
Pool. Book. Sauna.
My reward.
Not a candy bar. Not Netflix. Just silence, warmth, and peace.
