# Privacy policy

> **Key point:** **Key takeaways:** DailyInspire.ch is my private blog. There is no analytics, no advertising, no social media tracking and no cookies for visitors. Data is only processed where it is technically necessary (server logs), or where you provide it yourself: newsletter sign-up or e-mail.

## Who is responsible for data processing?

Responsible for data processing on this website is **Kacper Ruta**, private individual, Lucerne, Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, [hello@dailyinspire.ch](mailto:hello@dailyinspire.ch). Further details are in the [legal notice](https://dailyinspire.ch/en/imprint/).

This privacy policy is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to visitors from the EU, the rights described below also apply under the GDPR.

## Which data is processed when you visit the website?

When you open a page, your browser automatically transmits technical data to the server. That is necessary for the page to be delivered at all:

- IP address of your device
- Date and time of the request
- Page requested and amount of data transferred
- Referring page (referrer), if your browser sends it
- Browser type and operating system

These server log files are stored by the hosting provider to keep the website running and secure, for example to detect and block attacks. I do not use this data to identify you, do not build profiles and do not combine it with other data. The log files are deleted automatically after the retention period set by the hosting provider.

## Where is the website hosted?

The website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva, Switzerland. The servers are located in Switzerland. Infomaniak processes the data only on my behalf and only to operate the website.

## Does this website use cookies?

No, not for visitors. DailyInspire.ch sets no cookies when you read the blog. There is:

- no analytics (no Google Analytics or similar tools),
- no advertising and no tracking pixels,
- no social media plugins that transmit data when the page loads,
- no embedded videos, maps or external fonts.

The only cookie on this domain is a technically necessary session cookie named di_editor. It is only set when I, as the author, log in to the editorial area (/redaktion/), and it is deleted when the browser is closed. It does not affect visitors.

The short notice at the bottom of the page stores your confirmation in your browser's local storage (localStorage, entry di-notice-ok), so that it does not appear again. That entry is not a cookie, is never transmitted to the server and contains no personal data. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

## What happens to your data when you subscribe to the newsletter?

When you subscribe, I store your e-mail address, the language you chose and the time of sign-up. I use this data exclusively to send you the DailyInspire newsletter. The legal basis is your consent.

The data is stored on the server in Switzerland and is not passed on, sold or used for advertising. You can unsubscribe at any time with an e-mail to [hello@dailyinspire.ch](mailto:hello@dailyinspire.ch). I will then delete your address.

## What happens when you contact me by e-mail?

If you write to me, I use your e-mail address and the content of your message only to answer your request. I delete the correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless there is a legal obligation to keep it.

## What applies to links to other websites?

The blog links to external websites and to my profiles on Instagram, Facebook and X. No data is transmitted to these services when a page on DailyInspire.ch loads. Only when you click a link do you leave this website. From then on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

The same applies to voluntary support via PayPal or buycoffee.to: if you use these services, they process your data under their own privacy policies. I only receive the information that the provider passes on to me.

## Is your data passed on to third parties?

No. I do not sell, rent or pass on personal data, except to the hosting provider for operating the website or where the law requires it.

## What rights do you have?

You can request information at any time about which personal data I process about you. You can also ask me to correct or delete it, or object to the processing. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

An e-mail to [hello@dailyinspire.ch](mailto:hello@dailyinspire.ch) is enough. If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can file a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland, or with the data protection authority in your country of residence within the EU.

## Is your data secure?

The website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The editorial area is protected by a password.

## Can this privacy policy change?

Yes. If the website changes, for example through a new newsletter service, I will update this privacy policy. The current version always applies.
