DailyInspire 2025
I’ve been absent for two days.
No bike, no blog, no rhythm.
I lay there, staring at the ceiling, with no desire to write. Not to move a leg. Not even a thought.
It’s not a drama. It’s just being human. Sometimes you need to lie down and not want anything.
A small "nothing" – so that "something" can make sense again.
Today, something moved. The blog is back. And the bike too.
Not because I had to.
I could have stayed in bed and written nothing.
But today happens to be the symbolic International Bike-to-Work Day.
And though I’m not planning any fanfare or entering the Tour de Suisse, I’m riding. Because I can. Because I want to.
Because the bike – just like the blog – isn’t a duty. It’s a choice.
It’s the moment when you tell yourself, "Alright, I’ll try again. Start fresh. Today."
We don’t have to be at our best every day. But it’s good to have something that pulls us out of that ‘off’ state.
A bike, a word, a cup of coffee, a breath. Anything that says, "Hey, you’re still here. You still care."
Today, things are returning. Not perfectly. But enough.
